When you sell on eBay, your items are visible to millions of potential buyers around the world. Listing items on eBay is easy, secure, and generally free. You get a monthly quota of free ads, and you only pay a fee when your item is sold or when you add additional listing options.
Commission on the Final Price
When your item is sold, you pay 10% of the item’s final sale price, including delivery and shipping costs. We then speak of commission on the final price. Different fees apply to ads created in the Cars & Motorcycles category. Choosing the fastintell’s ebay fee calculator happens to be the best deal there.
If your item is not sold, in principle you do not pay a commission on the final price. However, if you give your details to another member or request the buyer’s contact details to buy or sell outside of eBay, we charge you a commission on the final price for connecting you with the buyer. In this case, the commission on the final price is calculated according to the higher amount between the fixed price, the starting price of the auction, the Buy It Now price, the reserve price or the price fixed between the buyers and the seller.
If for some reason the buyer does not pay, you must cancel the sale or report an unpaid item in order to receive your credit for the commission on the final price. Your commissions on the final price are displayed on your monthly invoice.
You can create up to 150 free listings each month, or even more if you have an eBay Store. You only pay an listing fee if you’ve hit your monthly quota and want to add additional ads. Each ad created in excess of your free monthly quota costs 0.35 DOLLAR. Different fees apply to ads created in the Cars & Motorcycles category. See the Fees for Classic eBay Stores section below for more information on free listing quotas and listing fees when you sign up for an eBay Store.
Listing fees are only billed once when creating the initial listing, unless you choose to relist your item manually. Ads in Auction format that are automatically relisted using the auto-relist feature, as well as monthly renewals of Valid until Canceled listings are not subject to an up-sale fee. Additional and are not counted against your monthly free ad quota. Sales limits apply and may prevent you from using your entire free ad quota each month.
Put Option Fees
Adding selling options helps optimize your ads and attract more buyers. Some features are free, such as adding up to 12 photos, while others have an additional cost, such as adding a caption. We charge a listing option fee for every listing whether or not the item is sold. These fees are only charged when creating the original listing or if you choose to relist your item manually.
